The past two years have brought many chains into our daily lives. We’ve had to change the way we travel and move about outside. It’s impacted how we train in the gym and what types of activities we can participate in. As I thought about these restrictions, I noticed our gas tank. It’s chained down for protection during hurricane season. Currently, the chain is surrounded by greenery that has grown around it. Life always finds a way to thrive!
What does it look like to thrive in this season?
Thriving is simple:
- spend daily time in the Word
- maintain your workout regime
- make healthy food choices
- develop resilience
- take a nap
- let go of perfectionism
- hold onto hope in Christ
Our daily habits help us to thrive amid adversity. We thrive in adversity through time in the Word. Maintaining a healthy regime with food and workouts keeps us on the right track. Developing resilience and taking time to rest are vital to our growth. Our growth thrives as we let go of perfectionism. And holding onto hope in Christ is the ultimate tool for thriving amid arduous circumstances. Let life find a way through the habits you’ve developed. Our habits can help expand our world. The world has limits, but in Christ, we do not. In Him, we thrive and grow each day.
And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself. Ephesians 1:23 NLT
Christ fills up all things everywhere with His presence. And where Christ is, growth happens.
Let’s Reflect:
Are you thriving in this season? What changes do you need to make to grow and thrive?
Let’s Pray:
Father, may we come alive and grow in Your presence. May we find what makes us thrive in You. May we decrease so that You may increase in us. The world may have restrictions, but we find prosperity and abundance for our spirits in You. May we rejoice in You all the days of our lives regardless of the chains the world has for us. In Jesus Name, Amen.
