My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”Psalms 27:8 NLT
I have had this verse in mind for a while. The words, ‘My heart has heard you say,’ come to mind in the gym, as I drive, or even while I’m eating. It sparks a heartfelt back-and-forth exchange with God. I mentioned last week that intimacy with Him is my greatest zeal, and it’s a fire that is steadily growing. Hearing from God and moving when He moves are paramount to my becoming more of me. Does that make sense? Is that something you can relate to as well?
It’s Time To Move
In Saundra Dalton-Smith’s book, Being Fully Known, she says,
“When the cloud of God’s glory moves, move with it. Being in unfamiliar territory with God’s grace is much better than being in the familiar without it.”
For many of us, being in an unfamiliar space is uncomfortable. Nothing feels right, and it’s hard to settle in. Lately, God has moved me to create things. And in one of our conversations, I felt like He was telling me it’s time to share. I started a few weeks ago with the screensavers I’ve shared, I know they weren’t polished or perfect, but I felt compelled to share with you anyway.
It’s Time For Divine Insight
Today, as I was reading I began to take notes. I had to write down what I was hearing God say, and my response to them, so I created a journal page to record my thoughts. And of course, I want to share a copy with you. You can grab one by clicking here. In a time when AI is copying voices of Christian leaders and putting questionable messages out into the world, it’s time to move with God’s movement. It’s time to diligently read Scripture and to converse with Him intimately. This is not the season to depend on our own understanding. May He whisper divine understanding into your heart and may your heart respond in tune with Him.
My heart has heard you say
This is a screenshot from the notes app on my iPhone. I often make notes there when I’m out walking or in the gym because I don’t always have my handwritten journal with me.
However you converse with God, do that. Do what brings you closer to Him. Don’t fall for rage bait on the internet. Fall instead into a deeper, more intimate, conversation with Him.
*For those of you who prayer walk, talk with Him, pour out your heart and listen for His insight.
