This week, I filled my journal with prompts and questions about how to accept the process wholeheartedly. Surrendering and accepting our calling is the foundation for trusting the process. Without this acceptance, adhering to the plan for our goals would be a continuous struggle. Matthew 3:15 says,
But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him.” Matthew 3:15 NLT
Accept the Process Wholeheartedly
I am reminded that Jesus accepted the process required to fulfill God’s plan. He is our blueprint for wholehearted surrender and trust in action. Every step Jesus took was purposeful. To be wholehearted is to relinquish control. It requires vulnerability, authenticity, and a willingness to receive His intrusive touch on our hearts. We must open ourselves to His purifying gaze and allow conviction to flood our souls.
Acceptance Creates Room for Growth
After all, Scripture reminds us that Jesus grew in the silent years of His life.
Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people. Luke 2:52 NLT
The AMP version of the Bible reads, “And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.” We need space to grow to our full stature in Christ and become wisdom in motion. Acceptance of His plans creates room for that growth. To keep increasing in wisdom, to keep increasing in maturity, and to keep increasing in His favor are #lifegoals.
Trust the Process of Increasing
If our desire is intimacy with Christ, then we also choose to increase in all the ways He did. As we become more like Him, we have more things in common with Him, and those commonalities sink us deeper into His embrace. May our prayer for this week be: Lord, I don’t know what lies ahead, but You do. I place myself into Your trustworthy and Almighty hands.
